The Dean Razorback X Lightning brings the uncompromising Razorback design to an attractively priced version without sacrificing the essential ingredients for a powerful metal and hard rock sound. The aggressive body shape with distinctive bevels and the eye-catching Lightning finish make it clear what this guitar is built for: powerful riffs, fast leads and a strong stage presence.

The body is made from Okoume, providing a resonant foundation with an open, powerful tonal character. The bolt-on maple neck with a C profile is paired with a rosewood fingerboard. A classic 24.75" scale length, a 12" fingerboard radius and 22 jumbo frets provide comfortable conditions for fast runs, wide bends and precise riffing. The distinctive Pearl Razorback inlays continue the instrument's exceptional design onto the fingerboard.

Two DMT Design humbuckers provide plenty of punch. They deliver a powerful, cutting sound with enough output for distorted rhythm and lead tones. Both pickups have their own volume control, while a shared tone control allows for additional tonal adjustment. The 3-way toggle switch lets you select the neck pickup, bridge pickup or both pickups together.

A Floyd Rose Special tremolo opens up extensive possibilities for dive bombs, extreme bends and expressive vibrato effects. Combined with the precise Grover 18:1 tuners, the Razorback X is designed to provide reliable tuning stability. Black hardware and black Speed Knobs complete the uncompromising look. The guitar comes factory-equipped with D'Addario EXL120 strings.
