Der Patina PS-3 SL verbindet den klassischen Charakter einer SSS-E-Gitarre mit modernen Materialien und einer hochwertigen Ausstattung. Die traditionelle Double-Cutaway-Bauform, drei handgewickelte Single-Coil-Tonabnehmer und sorgfältig ausgewählte Tonhölzer sorgen für einen vielseitigen Klang, der sich von glasklaren Clean-Sounds bis hin zu dynamischen Crunch- und Overdrive-Sounds erstreckt. Die charakteristischen Zwischenpositionen liefern den typischen, brillanten Single-Coil-Sound mit hoher Transparenz und Durchsetzungskraft.

Der leichte Paulownia-Korpus ist mit einer hochwertigen Nitrozellulose-Lackierung versehen, die das Holz frei schwingen lässt und im Laufe der Jahre eine individuelle Patina entwickelt. Dadurch gewinnt jede Gitarre ihren ganz eigenen Charakter. Der geröstete Quarter-Sawn-Ahornhals mit satiniertem Finish fühlt sich bereits beim ersten Spielen angenehm eingespielt an und bietet zusammen mit dem Palisandergriffbrett ein komfortables Spielgefühl für lange Sessions.

Das moderne C-Halsprofil, die 25,5-Zoll-Mensur sowie der Griffbrettradius von 13,75 Zoll ermöglichen eine ausgewogene Bespielbarkeit für Akkorde, Soli und Bendings. Die 22 Jumbo-Edelstahlbünde mit abgerundeten Bundkanten bieten ein geschmeidiges Spielgefühl und eine besonders hohe Langlebigkeit. Leuchtende Side Dots erleichtern zusätzlich die Orientierung auf dunklen Bühnen.

Die drei handgewickelten Alnico-V-Single-Coils mit einem Output von etwa 7 kOhm überzeugen durch brillante Höhen, ausgewogene Mitten und eine präzise Ansprache ohne unangenehme Schärfe. Über den Volume-Regler und die beiden Tone-Regler lässt sich der Klang flexibel anpassen. Das Tremolosystem arbeitet präzise und kehrt zuverlässig in die Ausgangsstimmung zurück, während die Locking-Mechaniken auch bei intensivem Einsatz für eine ausgezeichnete Stimmstabilität sorgen.
