It represents the first 30.5 inch scale bass produced in quantity by the Gibson Custom Shop and closely follows the specifications of the original instrument.Construction and feel
The mahogany double cutaway body is paired with a mahogany neck featuring the Gene Simmons 1959 EB-0 neck profile. The 744.70 mm scale length provides a compact playing feel and a focused, powerful tone. An Indian rosewood fingerboard with 20 frets and acrylic dot inlays delivers classic appearance and controlled playability.Electronics and hardware
A single Rhythm SG bass pickup positioned closer to the bridge delivers a defined and assertive sound. Electronics include master volume and master tone controls with CTS potentiometers and a ceramic capacitor.
