Hall Sensor Instead of Potentiometers: Precise and Maintenance-Free

Known from the Lehle Volume pedals, the sensor uses the Hall effect – named after Edwin Hall – to measure the strength of magnetic fields. In the Lehle Dual Expression, the Hall sensor is precisely calibrated to the built-in magnet and the pedal's travel. The pedal only moves the magnet, and its distance from the sensor is measured. Two digital potentiometers capable of processing analog voltages generate the expression values precisely and reliably.

This technology allows significantly more accurate control than conventional expression pedals with mechanical potentiometers. As there is no mechanical wear, maintenance and tedious adjustment are no longer necessary.

Two Outputs for Almost Any Device – TS, TRS or RTS

The two outputs can control almost all common devices with expression inputs from 5k to 100k – whether TS, TRS or RTS. The polarity of the outputs can be set and saved via a soft button. This lets you control two devices or two parameters at once with just one pedal.

Switch Function in Toe Position

The 10k output can also work as a momentary or latching switch: with the pedal pressed fully down in toe position, you can, for example, switch an amplifier channel or – connected to the switch input of a digital multi-effects unit – control any function you like.

MIDI via USB for Computers and Software

Via the USB port, the Lehle Dual Expression sends MIDI data to a computer. This lets you control MIDI-compatible software directly with your foot.

Smooth Action with Low-Friction Bearings

The pedal moves extremely smoothly thanks to low-friction plain bearings made of a high-performance polymer. An adjustment screw lets you fine-tune the pedal's resistance to your preference.
