Durch Hinzufügen von grandMA3 processing units lässt sich ein grandMA3 System sehr einfach ausbauen. Die grandMA3 processing unit M erweitert das System um 4 096 Parameter und bietet dem Systementwickler die Möglichkeit, das Lichtsteuerungssystem in kleinen Schritten zu skalieren. Neben der leistungsstarken CPU für die frame-synchrone Berechnung, bietet die grandMA3 processing unit M zusätzlich einen Mode2, mit dem bestehende grandMA2 Systeme um 4 096 Parameter erweitert werden können.
Die grandMA3 processing unit ist für den Rack-Einbau konzipiert und mit ihren nur 2HE perfekt für den effizienten Touring-Einsatz. Jedes Modell ist ausgestattet mit acht DMX-Ausgängen für frame-synchronen DMX-Output im Netzwerk. Weitere frame-synchrone DMX-Ausgänge können mit Hilfe von grandMA3 xPort Nodes zur Verfügung gestellt werden.
Die grandMA3 processing unit bietet über den integrierten Touch-Screen einen perfekten Systemüberblick. Durch diesen einfachen Zugriff auf wichtigste Funktionen, ist eine optimale Überwachung der im Rack montierten Geräte möglich, während jegliche Funktion auch aus der grandMA3 Session heraus überprüft werden kann.
In großen Systemen ist es empfehlenswert, die grandMA3 processing unit an einer zentralen Stelle zu positionieren und für die Parameter-Berechnung zu verwenden. Weiteres Verteilen und Ausgeben von frame-synchronen DMX-Daten sollte durch grandMA3 xPort Nodes erfolgen.
