Balanced Tone That Inspires
The Martin 000-13E Retro Walnut combines classic craftsmanship with a balanced tonal response in a compact, comfortable body. The 000 body shape provides clear note separation across all six strings, making it ideal for fingerpickers, singer-songwriters and anyone who values dynamics and sensitivity.
The solid spruce top delivers brilliant highs and impressive dynamics, while the solid black walnut back and sides provide tonal depth and rich midrange. Walnut – often referred to as “Pennsylvania Rosewood” – develops a warm, mature tonal character over time, with an increasingly pronounced bass foundation. The scalloped X-bracing enhances resonance while providing projection and a lively response.
Visually, the guitar draws on Martin's Style 28 tradition: simple dot inlays, a Faux Tortoise pickguard and open vintage tuners with Butterbean buttons give it an elegant, timeless appearance. The Performing Artist neck with High Performance Taper makes even demanding passages comfortable and easy to play.
With its integrated Martin E-1 pickup system, built-in tuner and optionally available Softshell Case, the 000-13E Retro Walnut is ready for the stage, studio or living room. Its versatility makes it the perfect instrument for musicians who value nuance and stylish presence.
