Martin DE Retro Plus Granadillo: Vintage Feel, Modern Brilliance
The Martin DE Retro Plus Granadillo is an exceptional dreadnought that balances the legendary power of Martin's classic heritage with contemporary tonal advancements. The hallmark of this instrument is its torrefied spruce top, which undergoes a specialized thermal process to age the wood at a molecular level. This results in the warm, open, and responsive Tone typically found in vintage guitars, paired with the structural reliability of a brand-new build.
The Unique Voice of Granadillo
By pairing the torrefied top with solid Granadillo back and sides, Martin has crafted a guitar with a voice that is both familiar and excitingly fresh. Granadillo provides a sonic landscape comparable to rosewood but with a slightly tighter low-end and a crystalline, shimmering top-end clarity. Supported by scalloped X-bracing, the DE Retro Plus delivers remarkable projection and complex harmonic Dynamics, making it a favorite for stage performers and recording artists alike.
