The Roland FP-40 Black is a modern digital piano for demanding players who want to combine an authentic piano feel with contemporary features and a slim, portable design. The latest Piano Reality technology combines Roland's sampling technology with modeling elements from its premium models, enabling dynamic tonal transitions, realistic resonances and a natural note decay.
For an expressive playing experience, the FP-40 is equipped with the proven PHA-4 keyboard. Weighted keys, escapement and ivory feel provide an authentic playing experience. Compared to the FP-30X, the key response curves have been optimized for the new sound engine. The triple-sensor system supports rapid note repetition and enables precise reproduction of subtle playing nuances.
The integrated speaker system has also been redesigned. The new speaker arrangement produces a clear and spacious sound, while newly developed speaker enclosures provide additional depth and richness, particularly in the lower register.
With Bluetooth Audio/MIDI and USB-C, the FP-40 can be conveniently connected to smartphones and other devices. In addition to app connectivity, USB-C also provides USB-MIDI and USB-Audio. The piano also supports headset microphones, making it suitable for streaming your own performances and video production.
Another key feature is the Piano Sphere App. It offers step-by-step lessons, personalized learning feedback and motivating practice functions. The integrated Wi-Fi function allows playing time to be recorded and progress to be tracked. When purchasing the FP-40, free access to a selection of licensed and royalty-free content is also included; additional songs can be unlocked optionally.
