JUPITER-8 Sound Architecture with Two Parts and 32 Voices
The sound architecture is based on the JUPITER-8 and offers two parts for layer and split sounds. Precise voice assignment and finely tuned pitch behaviour deliver the desired vintage character and a dynamic playing feel. The specifications state a maximum polyphony of 32 voices. 240 sound patches are available for your own sounds.
Polyphonic 64-Step Sequencer, Arpeggiator and Motion Recording
For your own patterns, a dual polyphonic 64-step sequencer is on board. Up to eight notes per step can be programmed for each part, while motion recording adds extra movement to sequences. A total of 96 patterns can be stored. A built-in arpeggiator and the hold function expand the possibilities for spontaneous performances and evolving sound structures.
Effects: Chorus, MFX, Delay and Reverb
The effects section also offers extensive sound-shaping options. Alongside chorus (3 types) and various MFX such as overdrive, fuzz, bit crusher, phaser or pitch shifter, there is a separate delay (4 types) and reverb. This lets you process sounds directly in the instrument – from subtle spatial depth to heavily mangled textures.
USB-C Audio/MIDI Interface, MIDI and External Clock
Via USB-C, the JUPITER-08 connects to computers, tablets and smartphones as an audio/MIDI interface. Classic MIDI In and MIDI Out ports and an external clock input also allow integration into hardware and analogue setups.
Play Anywhere: Speaker, Battery Power and K-25m Keyboard Dock
Thanks to its built-in speaker and power supply via four AA batteries or USB, the synthesizer is equally suited to mobile setups. The K-25m keyboard dock is included, so the compact Boutique synthesizer can be played straight away as a standalone instrument – no additional MIDI keyboard required.
