Roland n/vision – Compact Wavetable Synthesizer in Boutique Format
The Roland n/vision is a compact wavetable synthesizer that combines the character of classic wavetable instruments from the 1980s with modern Roland technology. Its dual-layer wavetable architecture enables complex, moving soundscapes, while the comprehensive control surface gives direct access to key parameters. This makes the n/vision equally suited to spontaneous sound experiments and detailed sound design.

Two Wavetable Layers for Moving Soundscapes
At its core are two wavetable layers that can be blended together and extensively modulated. Wavetable position, layer balance, pitch and other parameters can be controlled by various modulation sources. A spread control provides a wider stereo image. The result: evolving pads, aggressive leads and complex digital textures.
Wave Shaper: New Overtones Beyond Classic Wavetable Synthesis
An additional wave shaper section processes the waveforms non-linearly, creating new overtones and sound structures that go beyond classic wavetable synthesis.
Filters and Modulation: Analog Modeling Filter, Step LFO and Motion Recording
Various filter models are available for further sound shaping. Alongside vintage-inspired variants, the n/vision offers an analog modeling filter with drive. Step LFO, envelope and oscillator modulation, motion recording and numerous other parameters open up extensive possibilities for dynamic, constantly evolving sounds.
20 Effect Types, Delay, Reverb and Shimmer Reverb
The effects section is also well equipped. A total of 20 effect types plus separate delay, reverb and shimmer reverb sections are available. This lets you process sounds directly in the instrument – from subtle enhancement to vast atmospheric soundscapes.
Polyphonic 64-Step Sequencer and Arpeggiator
For rhythmic and melodic ideas, the n/vision features a dual polyphonic 64-step sequencer. Up to eight notes per step and motion recording allow complex patterns of basslines, chords and melodies. The sequencer is complemented by an arpeggiator for rhythmic and evolving note sequences.
Portable and Connected: Speakers, Battery Power and USB-C
Despite its extensive sound engine, the n/vision remains truly portable. The compact Roland Boutique housing features built-in speakers and can be powered by four AA batteries or USB-C. Via USB-C, the instrument can also be integrated into computer and DAW setups as an audio/MIDI interface. Classic MIDI ports and an external clock input additionally allow connection to other hardware.
K-25m Keyboard Dock Included
The K-25m keyboard dock is included. It turns the n/vision straight away into a compact standalone instrument with its own keyboard, ideal for both desktop setups and mobile use.
