Das SPD-SX verfügt über neun sensible Gummi-Pads mit zwei separaten Echtzeit-Reglern und vier speziellen Effekt-Taster. Rolands hochentwickelte Trigger-Technologie sorgt für optimale Präzision und Dynamik. Das beleuchtete LCD-Display bietet jederzeit den optimalen Überblick über Funktionen und Daten.
Jedes Pad besitzt eine LED, die den Pad-Status anzeigt. Beim Triggern von Sample-Phrasen leuchten diese beispielsweise, um anzuzeigen, welche Pads aktuell gespielt werden. Außerdem zeigt die Helligkeit der jeweiligen LED den Audiopegel an (ähnlich den Pegelanzeigen bei Mischpulten). Gut sichtbare rot
SPD-SX Wave Manager Software
In dem großzügig bemessenen internen Speicher des SPD-SX (4 GB) lassen sich komplette Sample-Libraries ablegen und mitführen. Ohne externe Medien können ca. 720 Minuten Audiomaterial (10.000 Dateien) bei 16 bit, 44.1 kHz mono abgespeichert werden.
Über den eingebauten USB-Port lassen sich Audiodaten direkt von USB-Speichern importieren. Mit der beiliegenden SPD-SX Wave Manager-Software können Audiodaten direkt vom Computer über USB
